At the end of 2009, everis launched everis Initiatives
a business unit focused on the analysis and participation in new business models that allow completing the offer of value that the company offers to the organizations.
everis Initiatives is a basic pillar of the strategy to configure everis as a multi-national business group, a leader in strategic areas of the economy, promoting and encouraging the entrepreneurial character and the characteristic talent of the company.
The new ideas based on multidisciplinary products and services for the SME (such as technological support, outsourcing of management functions and business advice, among others) and for and for areas as varied as sustainability, aerospace & defense, education, logistics, mobility, banking services…
FiTalent, “Fondo de Inversión en Talento” was launched in 2011
as a pilot to test everis’ capabilities in the Venture Capital business (hereinafter FIT-I).
FIT-I was incorporated in Madrid (Spain) under the Spanish SEC (CNMV) regulations and, therefore, subjected to the corresponding tax waivers. FIT-I committed up to 5 M€ coming solely from everis’ own resources.
FIT-I invested in more than 10 different companies in typically “start-up” stages (product-ready and starting business and commercial development activities; in “Biotech companies” product-ready means preclinical phase or proof of concept undergoing).
During last 2 years FIT-I has initiated the disinvestment phase having only three active companies in the portfolio: SATLANTIS, IRISBOND and PALOBIOFARMA.
On March 2017 we decided to launch “FIT-II” (a second phase of investment) with 3 separate strategic lines
everis Board of Directors held on March 2017 decided to apply FIT-I exits in a new “fund” with three strategic lines: Venture Capital, Corporate Venturing and Company Building. The corresponding funds will be distributed equally among the three action lines (hereinafter FIT-II).
